Aussie Brake and Clutch has been Caboolture’s local mechanic since 1987. Brakes and clutches are our specialty, but we’re a full mechanical workshop: log book servicing, roadworthy inspections, steering and suspension, timing belts, cooling systems and general repairs.
We’re straight with people. We’ll tell you what your car needs, explain why it needs it, and only do the work you agree to. No surprises on the bill and no upselling.
The business has been under current ownership since 2015, led by owner and operator Shane Albrecht, and our team brings over 60 years of combined mechanical experience. We work on small hatchbacks, family SUVs, utes, heavy duty 4WDs and fleet vehicles.
There’s an air-conditioned waiting area, or a courtesy drop-off service if you need to get somewhere while we work on your car. We look after drivers from Caboolture, Morayfield, Narangba, North Lakes, Burpengary and the wider Moreton Bay region.

Steering and suspension

Timing belts

Brakes
Brakes are the most important safety system on your car, and we specialise in the full range, pads, discs, drum machining, hydraulic work and full system overhauls. We machine discs, drums and flywheels in our own workshop and make brake hoses and handbrake cables. Clutches

Do you service all makes and models?
Yes, we work on all makes and models including passenger cars, SUVs, 4WDs, utes and fleet vehicles. If it’s got an engine, we can work on it.
Will a log book service here keep my warranty?
Yes. We carry out log book servicing to manufacturer specifications with quality parts that meet manufacturer requirements, and stamp your log book so your new car warranty stays valid.
Do you do roadworthy certificates?
Yes. We’re a QLD Approved Inspection Station (AIS 10717) and carry out roadworthy inspections at our Caboolture workshop. If your vehicle passes we’ll issue the certificate on the spot. If something needs attention first, we’ll give you a clear quote before any work begins.
Do you only do brakes and clutches?
Not at all. Brakes and clutches are our specialty, but we’re a full mechanical workshop. Log book servicing, roadworthy inspections, steering and suspension, timing belt replacement, cooling system repairs and general mechanical work are all part of what we do every day.
Do you machine brake discs and flywheels?
Yes. We machine brake discs and brake drums (including heavy truck drums) in-house, and flywheels on our own equipment at our Caboolture workshop.
Can you make brake hoses?
Yes. We manufacture brake hoses, including stainless steel braided hoses, as well as handbrake cables.
How long will my car take?
It depends on the job. Many repairs and services are completed the same day. When you book in we’ll give you a realistic timeframe so you can plan around it, and we offer a courtesy drop-off service if you need to get somewhere while we work on your car.
